“We drove to Uluru via the Great Central Highway, calling in at Empress Springs, Breadon Bluff, Bungabidy Rockhole. I have travelled the Great Central Highway quite a few times and this was the worst condition I have seen it in – heavily corrugated all the way. From Ulluru to Kings Canyon, along the Mereenie Loop (again very badly corrugated) into Alice Springs. From Alice Springs to Chambers Pillar, Maryvale to Fink (down the old Ghan track), then onto Oodnadatta and back to Coober Pedy. We must have travelled about 5,000km’s of rough gravel roads and tracks. Whilst I had minor problems with some things (both car and caravan) we were extremely happy with the performance and toughness of the Caravan. Travelling some of these roads and tracks you always expect to have some collateral damage from the constant corrugations, but despite the conditions every time we opened the van door we were met with a highly sophisticated, clean van with everything still in place!!!
Kath and I are extremely happy with the follow up service and the way we were looked after on our return. These caravans handle the rough stuff, as it really is a caravan you can tow anywhere, at a reasonable speed and still get to the other end in one piece. It is a relief to have a product that you can trust in these conditions.”
John and Leanne Bullock, York WA.
“We mostly free camp with our 2 dogs. We chose our van 4 years ago from a caravan show and still absolutely love it! Explorex is WA made by a terrific family company that are proud of their product and stand by each van they have sold. We have completed over 25,000 kms of trouble free towing Australia wide so far. The strongest, toughest and lightest available, and no “off road” van is cheap to buy, BUT Explorex vans are cheap to own as they are almost indestructible. Best decision we ever made.”
Duncan & Bernice Symmington, Mandurah WA.
“After years of running my own livestock transport company, I know what outback roads are all about, and what is required in a strong van. We mainly go dirt roads, visiting old friends in the Pilbara and exploring the outback. Plenty of dust on the outside, none on the inside.”
Don and Wendy Sutherland, Kalbarri WA.
“We have completed two trips from the West to Lonesome Dove Station, Roper River NT, in our Explorex Tanami. We have done lots of bush tracks, and have camped for 3 months on end at the Roper River. We are very pleased with our van and the continued backup and support from Explorex.”
Lee and Mandy Patterson, WA.
“The response we have had while travelling with the van has been very positive and we will continue to promote your great vans. Thank you for everything! We couldn’t of wished for better service! What a great team of people.”
Alan and Helen Hawley, Albany WA.
“After 15 months and approximately 15 000 kms, we have had an excellent run out of our van, with an all but trouble free run. Explorex have replaced the six bolts holding our table leg, and that is our only maintenance to date!”
